The PROTIG 231 DC FV is a pulsed DC TIG welding generator, very compact and portable. Its PFC technology allows it to operate from 85 V to 265 V and to achieve a very stable arc even on 100 m site extension leads. In electrode welding, its Pulsed MMA mode facilitates vertical upward welding.
OPTIMISED DC WELDING
Secondary regulation: ensures optimal arc stability and constant current in all positions.
- TIG DC: provides quality welding on all ferrous materials such as steel, stainless steel as well as copper and its alloys.
- Pulsed TIG DC up to 2 kHz: controls the temperature of the weld pool, limits deformation and enables assembly of thin sheets from 0.3 mm.
- Adjustable SPOT from 0.1 to 25 sec: fast and precise tacking before welding thin sheets.
- 2 arc starting types: HF contactless or LIFT by contact for electrosensitive environments.
- 3 trigger modes: 2T, 4T and 4T LOG. Automatic torch detection: compatible with blade, dual-button and potentiometer torches
- 2 tacking modes: - Spot: adjustable tacking from 0.1 to 60 seconds of parts before welding.
- Pulse: adjustable tacking from 0.01 to 60 seconds on thin sheet before welding
MMA WELDING
MMA: Basic and Rutile electrodes (up to Ø 5 mm).
Pulsed MMA: facilitates vertical upward welding (pipes/pipeline…).
3 integrated welding aids:
- Antisticking: reduces the risk of electrode sticking on contact with the workpiece
- Hot Start: facilitates arc striking and is adjustable in seconds depending on the metal type
- Arc Force: momentary current increase in difficult welding situations.
